Big props, love and respect to Debbie Howard who features in our 5th episode of Spirit Of Independence which airs on regional SLTV tonight at 22.30. TENACIOUS D - Debbie Howard - The 5th episode of Spirit of Independence a series of documentaries featuring interviews with independent film makers. In this series we focus on film makers from Sheffield and the surrounding South Yorkshire in the UK. Debbie is a well known film maker in Sheffield, and we were eager for her to take part in series 1, every time we mentioned she was part of the series the reaction was either I know her or Ive heard of her I really want to see her episode. Its really encouraging to see a film maker who sticks to their principles when producing films and wont compromise one bit. Our primary aim with the documentary series was to inspire the next generation of independent film makers. Debbies persistence and tenacity and willingness to tackle issues which other film makers would run a million miles from, make her a real inspiration to budding potential film makers.
