Big shout out to Chris Evans Rosie Doyle Evans and Brian Vehon for helping us stay dry today! And a number of other people who offered. We seriously have the best friends!! Three things I learned today: 1. You need to have a flood insurance policy in order to get your house fixed after crazy rains. I have lived here my whole life and have had zero flood incidents. Nor have I made a claim on insurance. But guess I am on my own.... 2. Landscaping companies need to be careful when pouring concrete and laying rock that covers drains. Home builders forfeit coverage for this once you hire out and the companies that do the concrete rarely take the responsibility. 3. Try not to put your AC units, or their concrete slabs close to drainage routes. I will be a MASTER home renovator when this house is done!
