Big things happening at The Connected Canine this morning! Kristi and Ricardo came over to work on Jacks crazy reactions when he sees other dogs while out walking which included whining, barking, lunging, climbing up the leash and other shenanigans that made it impossible to walk him around the block. Jacks buddy, Bubba, came along for moral support :) Once Jack had learned how to behave appropriately on leash around some of our dogs, we brought out the big guns! Argos (who used to be even worse on leash than Jack) will be going home in a week, so this was a perfect opportunity for both of them to practice their new skills. Now that Argos and Jack both understand that crazy, explosive behavior isnt going to get them anywhere and that they can trust us not to put them in situations they cant handle, they are able to be calm around another dog as you can see in this short video. Were super proud of Kristi and Ricardo for their hard work with Jack and cant wait to show Argos mom all that he has learned! :)
