Big up Jay Z...Nipsey Hussle Wu Tang and a few others who have recently used their influence and creative marketing to restore artistic value to hip hop music. Over the last 15 years people have drastically changed the way they consume music. As a result labels and corporate Amerikkka has treated the art form like disposable goods....you cant really blame them when the average person rather spend $5 at Starbucks for a cup of coffee they will use once but not spend 99cents on music they can listen to forever...people generally rather go to YouTube/datpiff and other free sources then support the artist by purchasing the music they like....I dont knock this fully because its promotion and allows needed exposure in a saturated market....but just as any successful business....it requires customers/consumers so if Wu decides to sell their album for a billion to restore this principle...Im with it 1000%
