Bike of the Week reveal! Another great guess from Occhio Lungo, who identified this 1908 Terrot within just a few years! Terrot was a company of French origin, beginning in the 1860s as a textile machinery manufacturer. As the demand for this specialized equipment deminished, they turned the factory over to the manufacture of bicycles, which were an increasingly popular novelty purchase. By the emergence of the 1900s, Terrot, like most contemporaries, focused on motorizing the bicycles they made. They used engines by Givaudan, Dafaux, and Zedel, before the firm went on to develop its own.
