Philippine Furniture Export Origins: An Unlikely Success Story’ HallONE steps back in time to rediscover the origins of Philippine furniture exports; in its second semester theme exhibition for 2014, “Bilibid or Not! Philippine Furniture Export Origins: An Unlikely Success Story.” The exhibit features the world famous Peacock chair and other furniture pieces made of rattan and local crafted hardwoods exported from the Bilibid penitentiary during the early 20th century.
