Bill Cosby was probably a perv, Eddy Murphy was probably a perv, and Richard Pryor was a crackhead. What does this say about black comedy and culture? Nothing. It was mostly white people paying these gentlemen and buying their work and its the audience/industry that makes someone famous based on how their work is received; its almost democratic in that way. If black people could have picked a comedian to somehow represent them, I bet it would have been Paul Mooney and the world would be an entirely different place.
