Bill Grays Regional Iceplex Goes Green! Phase one of improvements include the installation of a new dehumidification system on each of the four NHL sized ice rinks inside the facility. The new system will create optimal conditions inside the facility to operate year round, including the humid summer months. It will also include a major overhaul of the existing water heating system, along with the installation of new energy efficient boilers. The improved water heating system will provide ample hot water to meet the needs of thousands of customers in any given day, and for the large need for zamboni water, which can reach up to 10,000 gallons a day. It is expected that phase one will be completed by mid-June.
