Bill Pinto, Inducted in the Manteca Hall of Fame. moved to Manteca as a small child from Oakland Ca. Attended Lindbergh school and Manteca High in 1944, from there he joined the United States Navy. In 1946 Pinto returned to Manteca to attend the college of the Pacific in Stockton, where earned a Bachelors in education and then earned a Masters degree in education in 1951, after Pinto began his 36 year service to education in the Manteca Unified School District, started as a teacher at Lincoln elementary from there principal at Lindbergh, from there was the opening principal at Shasta elementary in 1966, Pinto community credits are founding member of the Manteca Historical Society, Give every child a chance ,Pinto was inducted in the Manteca High School Hall of Fame in 1991 in recognition of his longtime contributions to the educational field in Manteca. Bill Pinto made everyone around him a better person and devoted his life to education and to see that others have a chance in life to better themselves. Bill Pinto a big part of the History of Manteca and a true Pioneer.
