Bill always has such lovely posts. Bill Powell We went out to supper and talked about leaving for Ireland tomorrow. When we got home I opted to stand in the yard for a while and watch the sky change from day to night.....sure enough, the sun went down and then all the clouds turned flamingo pink against the deep blue. With camera in hand I took about 20 pictures and the colors were glorious. Our 100 crows lined the tops of the trees at the edge of our woods and sat in silence watching the sky to the west. The same ineffable thing that gave me a sense of awe must be working in them too....then, in three or four minute, they rose up as a group, tightly circled, and went deeper into the woods for the night making quite a racket as they said good night to one another. I am blessed by this gift of life.....there have been so many times when I barely cheated death, that I look at the freedom and opportunity to simply stand in my yard and look at colors and clouds and hear birds as a gift. I think that is what is meant by grace.
