Bill and I went out to get a Christmas tree tonight, and were successful! We made it back home with just a little twine to hold our cheapest tree in the lot and 49 treasure tree. Bill backed into the driveway to save those few extra steps unloading. As we got out of the van we turned and watched as our van started to slide away (all by itself) down the icy driveway and into the street. Bill raced to the door and got in the van as it was sliding, applied the brakes and safely stopped the van. Then he got out and it all started again... self-propelled van on ice sliding downward. Twice? We both thought of the VERY long 4 block hill we live on and how much the van would accelerate on the way down the hill. On the fourth try, we finally got the van to stop securely and unloaded our tree. Pretty exciting life.
