Billing Analyst Ambit Energy - Dallas, TX Apply with your Indeed Resume Responsible for the timely and accurate invoicing of all customer accounts Ensure accuracy through the review and validation of a controlled sample population of invoices on an ongoing basis to identify billing issues/improvements Audit daily bill runs to identify issues; coordinate resolution and re-bill requirements to ensure accurate bill creation post resolution Document all billing issues/improvements for resolution/change implementation Communicate billing issues with the technical department(s) and leadership to ensure timely resolution Assist with the development of requirements and prioritization of billing enhancements Act as subject matter expert for billing related questions internally Ensure the timely processing of all billing transactions Monitor and track billing transactions to ensure efficient and accurate processing Resolve issues related to the receipt, processing and transmission of transactions Recognize, reconcile, and correct mismatched billing data based on, established business rules Build internal and external relationships through exceptional problem solving, ownership, and follow-through Required Skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment Strong organizational, interpersonal , communication and analytical skills Highly attentive to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Working knowledge / understanding of the Energy industry’s procedures for establishing, maintaining, and ending electric service to residential and commercial customers. Familiarity with State Utility Commission regulations related to the invoicing of customers Experience with data quality processes, system audits or invoice reconciliation required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a similar field of study or equivalent experience Physical Attendance is a requirement of the job Ambit Energy provides electricity and natural gas services in deregulated markets across the United States.
