Billy Gillies is a young trance producer and DJ from Northern Ireland who is an integral part of the new generation of Irish trance artists. Billy’s tracks can be found in the playlists of Armin Van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Giuseppe Ottaviani. John Askew, John O Callaghan, Bryan Kearney, Sean Tyas, Judge Jules and many more. His signature sound is in and around the 138 bpm mark, dishing out uplifting, driving trance euphoria to his ever growing fan base. The Belfast man also produces a more progressive, grooving dirty tech trance hybrid for the big room. Since he turned 21 years old, long running and highly respected UK label Fraction Records have picked up on Billy’s productions with Digital Sundown, Luminous/Fly Zone, Remember/Good Day, Watching the Sun Go Down/Codec and Rewire, helping carve out his name as a future star on the global scene. These releases have earned the young DJ/Producer massive plays in top clubs and festivals throughout the world, plus Future Sound Of Egypt Radioshow and BBC Radio One support going out to thousands of listeners worldwide. Outside of his Fraction exploits, in 2013 Billy released Octagon on Future Focus and Daytona (including Photographer Remix) on Edge EDM which both gained A State Of Trance support from the world’s number 1 DJ, Armin van Buuren. Now at at only 23, Billy has a plethora of big name support under his belt and is constantly evolving as he sets his sights on even bigger labels and perfecting his own distinctive Billy Gillies sound. Unlike a lot of produces these days, Billy started out as a DJ and has honed his skills from a young teenager in the bedroom to the clubs of Belfast and beyond.
