Billy Grahams dedication to the armed forces was instilled at a young age. His grandfathers both fought at Gettysburg, and Billy himself was set to join the Army as a chaplain during WWII but was thwarted after a bout with mumps disqualified him from service. Billy spent the next decades ministering to troops serving around the world. Many items given to Mr. Graham during his tours preaching to the armed forces are now on display as part of the special military exhibit at the Library through July 31.
