Binh Thuy ancient house Binh Thuy ancient house has worshiped Duong ancestor, first built in 1870 and embellished back early in the 20th century. The house is located on Bui Huu Nghia Street, Binh Thuy, Can Tho. Step through the gate barrier solidly by concrete and iron French style mansion, you’ll see a side entrance built in the oriental architecture with 4 round columns, front panel mounted “Phuoc An Hieu”. The owner’s house Duong Chan Ky – A rich intellectual merchant, as well as squire have minded art. He loves to explore new things, strange movements of the prevailing Western, especially in the field of architecture. Therefore, visitors can find the harmonious combination between the two cultures East – West. In order to keep warm and avoid termites, the house owner sprayed a 10 cm layer of salt under the floorboards. With front and back gardens, the five-room house offers a comfortable environment full of fresh air and brilliant sunshine. Duong’s worship house is an ancient buildings are valued and classified by the State national monuments.
