Bio: Becca has been sitting in a high kill shelter waiting for her turn to die. Other rescue groups read her chart and passed her by. Yes, she is old. Yes, she is emaciated and anemic. She has a skin condition due to neglect and were not sure how well she can see. Becca showed no sign of hope in the shelter. Her head was down, she was depressed and had given up. UnderDog went to meet Becca because the thought of this little girl laying in a cage with no hope was haunting us. The look on her face, her overall condition, demonstrated a life of neglect and ignorance. Was this the way Becca was going to leave this world? When UnderDog visited Becca in the euthanasia ward of the shelter, Becca raised her head, but showed no happiness. UnderDog made the decision to save her life. Upon arrival, Becca was groomed, bathed, nails trimmed and most importantly, Becca was hugged. She ate a huge meal and little by little, Becca started to come to life. She settled into a dog bed where she appeared to be at total peace. UnderDog will know more once Becca is vetted, but for tonight, she is sleeping in a loving home. Beccas belly is full, her body clean and she is loved. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who worked together and made a difference in a dogs life tonight. UnderDog saved four dogs tonight and Becca is thrilled she was one of them. UnderDog ..... we need a wonderful, loving foster for this little girl. Cindy cleaned her up and you can certainly tell the difference in Beccas attitude after she was cleaned and loved. Cindy said she is really, really, sweet.
