Biografie Traffic Jam is Chris Tucker and Robert Mueller, two - TopicsExpress

Biografie Traffic Jam is Chris Tucker and Robert Mueller, two very talented young musicians who compose, write and sing their own songs. Robert and Chris first met at school when they were seven years old and became friends. Eleven years later this friendship developed into a musical, songwriting partnership which has, so far, lasted for five fruitful years. Together they have appeared in pubs, clubs, concert halls and other venues; gaining vital experience by performing before extremely varied audiences, and building the nucleus of a faithful following for their reflective, at times whimsical lyrics sung in excellent two-part harmony over a purling two-guitar-foundation. Stemming from a family in which learning a musical instrument was as commonplace as learning to read and write, Chris (the second of three brothers) first studied violin and french horn. Aged sixteen he began to take an interest in the guitar; coincidentally at the same time as his friend Robert. It was, however, two years before they actually commenced playing together and writing songs, both individually and in tandem. Like several songwriting partnerships, they are often unsure who originally suggested, wrote or played certain components, so all their material carries credits to them both, even in cases where the input from one of them has been minimal. Their two-guitar treatment is best heard in Forgotten Song and I Believed where they play completely on their own. At other times their songs are enhanced by some excellent additional, never obtrusive textures provided by studio musicians. Colin Wilkie, 2001
