Biological Hazard in USA on Wednesday Description Authorities said a swarm of bees attacked a group of children behind Carmalt Elementary School in Brookline on Tuesday afternoon. According to Pittsburgh Public Schools spokesperson Ebony Pugh, 12 children and two teachers received bee stings just before 1 p.m. Medics and a physician were called to the scene on Breining Street just before 1 p.m., Pugh said. All who were stung were treated at the school, according to medics. No one was displaying a reaction or difficulty breathing. The children were attending the Summer Dreamers Academy, a summer camp sponsored by the school district for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Pugh said a facility team will evaluate the area to see if there is a hive or if anything needs to be treated.
