Bird Cycleworks launch line-up takes flight. New British MTB bike brand Bird announce initial AM hard tails. Brand new British MTB bike brand, Bird, has officially announced the launch and availability of its initial model offerings, the aggressively poised, all-mountain hard tail range, the Zero The founding and development of the UK’s only dedicated manufacturer of 650b bikes is, perhaps, the industry’s worst kept secret, with pre-launch demand rising gradually over the past year as Bird worked towards releasing their first models. The first Bird bike to market is the hard tail Zero, comprising an aluminium 6061 T6 frame with tapered headtube, ISCG05 mounts, forged chainstay brace for massive tyre clearance, stealth routing and 142/12 rear axle. The bikes are available as a frame only kit, or as customisable high performance builds. Five models are available with choices such as 130mm, 140mm and 150mm fork options from Rockshox and X-Fusion, 1x Narrow Wide or 2x shadow+ drivetrain, Reverb stealth seat post options and Hope, RaceFace, Charge, XT and XTR finishing kit on every model. It’s also the fine details, such as no hidden downgrades, premium wheels, a wide selection of dual or triple compound tubeless tyre choices, along with lifetime transferrable frame warranties, which will really separate Bird from the flock. Better still, because Bird assemble and supply bikes directly from its UK factory, customers are able to ensure their specific needs are factored into the buying process to ensure a perfect fit and match to their riding style, as well as keeping costs lower to ensure better bikes for less money.
