Birthday of Prophet(Saw): It might be on 7th 9th 11th or 12 th of Islamic month Rabbi ul awal. No body knows what day it was, even my fathers birthday was not recorded properly let alone 1400yr ago. Maulana Abdul Qadar jeelani wrote in one of his books that Prophet (pbuh) was born on 10 th Muharram. It was not in culture of Arabs to note down birth Date but they only used to note down the birth Day, Prophet(pbub) was born on Monday. Only this available in history. People did not knew the speciality of Prophet(pbuh) except that he was truthful and trustworthy until he became the last Prophet. Not even He(pbuh) himself knew he was special until first revelation even then he was confused what was happening with him that he(pbuh) tried to kill himself by jumping down the hill but Allah(swt) stopped him. It was then people started noting down the life of the Last Prophet (pbuh) with utter care that He(pbub) is now considered to be the most closely observed person ever lived. And it was from the same companions, who observed and noted down Prophet (pbuh)s life with utter care, we know Allah(swt) took his soul on 12th Rabi ul awwal. Sadly Muslims today are celebrating the date on which Prophet Muhammad (pbub) died. This is the reward of ignorance which we allow to grow due to carelessness in reading Quran and by careless correction of wrong doing people.
