Bishop appointed to Advisory Board of the NSTA May 21, 2014, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia – Bruce Bishop, owner of Bruce Bishop Communications Ltd., has been appointed as a Member of the Nova Scotia Tourism Agency Advisory Board, as noted by the Nova Scotia Executive Council on April 29, 2014. “I am very pleased and honoured to be chosen as one of two new Members to the N.S.T.A. Advisory Board,” Bishop said. “As a native Nova Scotian who has worked within the travel and tourism industry for 20 years, which included writing and reporting on destinations around the world, I’m thrilled to be able to offer any assistance I can provide.” The Board is comprised of ten industry, business and government leaders with international marketing and business development experience, including Chair Ben Cowan-Dewer, the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Cabot Links in Cape Breton. The purpose of the Nova Scotia Tourism Agency is to maximize the value of tourism to the Nova Scotia economy; develop the long term market driven tourism strategy for the Province; and provide a leading role in engaging and communicating with the province’s tourism industry and other Provincial departments to maximize available resources. Patrick Sullivan is the Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, which is under the auspices of the Honourable Michel Samson, Minister of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism.
