Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem. Saintly thieves This is related to yesterdays article about hidden saints. One day a Lebanese lady follower for many years told Mawlana; someone stole my jewelery. Mawlana paused for a second then said. No it was not stolen. Someone from Ahl-Alnawba, the saints responsible for that area, took them. He is now giving the young poor girls who are about to get married each one a piece of your jewelry as a dowry. Since their groom cant afford to buy them any gold ring or jewelry, the brides usually are heart broken. Therefore, he took your gold to make these poor girls happy. The Lebanese lady mureed forgot about her diamonds, sapphires, and emeralds and became so happy to hear that somewhere a poor girl was made happy because of her jewelry. Yesterday was about saints back biting, today there are spiritual thieves. I dont mean to confuse people, but didnt Mawlana use to say; if you see me praise someone stay away from him, and if you see me shout hard at someone, he is good. Therefore, things are not to be measured by their obvious appearance. Once during Ramadan in Peckham mosque, there was a person causing some disturbance. One of the American followers felt to put an end to this discomforting behavior. He told the annoying man to leave. As the American turned, Mawlana asked where the man had gone. Then the American started sweating and rushed outside to bring him back. Mawlana told him; you will not find him cause the minute he stepped outside the mosque, his foot reached Madinah Al-Munawara. Mawlana on several occasions said, deal with everyone next to you with respect as if he is Khidr peace be upon him, and consider every night as if it is Laylatu-Qadr, the night of power. Meaning, you never know who you are with, therefore keep respect with every one. Mawlana also told; you will not meet Khidr, peace be upon him, unless you keep respect with everyone you deal with. Because if you meet Khidr and not give him his due respect you will suffer a punishment. In the Hadeeth Qudsi its said. My friends are under my domes no one knows them except I «ان اوليائي تحت قبابي لا يعرفهم غيري» There is an interpretation saying; the dome mentioned here is the one of their tomb. However, could it be that the dome mentioned here is their cover, their skin, or their character. Meaning Allah almighty in order to hide His friends He dressed them with some repelling character. This way people would run away from them considering their behavior unaccepted by the general public. Just like that man escorted out of the mosque in Peckham. Beware of who is next to you for you never know his rank or station. Dont judge people by appearance cause it could be one of the Divine domes covering a saint. Mawlana once told Haga Ruqeia to forgive whoever took or stole her gold to make it Halal, for them. Most important give the benefit of doubt to disturbing behavior, whether its back biting or something else, cause it could be the Green Man wanting to meet you.
