Bismillahir-rahmaanir-raheem Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh A REMINDER FOR ALL OF US WHO USE FACEBOOK aka FITNAH (temptation) BOOK! Please share to all of your Muslim brothers and Sisters, May Allah reward you! Jazaakumullahu khairan! QUESTION 1: Can a Muslimah post her picture on facebook? ANSWER: NO! Please read no. 1 below. QUESTION 2: What is the ruling on Liking Haraam on facebook e.g. liking a Muslimahs picture in which she doesnt wear the hijab? ANSWER: HARAAM (FORBIDDEN)! Please read no. 2 below. ___________________________________ 1. If she is wearing the Niqab (face cover) then WHAT IS THE POINT? What is the reason for showing a black figure? If its somehow a NECESSITY then it is not forbidden in Islam. If she is wearing the veil/headscarf but showing her face then this is forbidden in Islam. The proof is in Surah Annur - ayah 31 and in many other verses of the Quran and Hadiths of the Prophet (SAW). WHY? It has been explained that this is what leads to evil consequences that is sufficient to deem it forbidden, because it is a fitnah (temptation) for her and the people looking. Facebook is a public website in which millions and millions of MEN and women log on to each day. Is it allowed for a man to look at a womans face? NO! What should a man do? He should LOWER his gaze! It is haraam for a man to look at a womans face for that may tempt him. The proof for that is in Surah Annur - Ayah 30 and in many other verses of the Quran and Hadiths of the Prophet (SAW). If you mean that she is NOT wearing a veil/headscarf, let alone the niqab, then use your mind. Do YOU think that it is allowed in Islam to flaunt/show off your beauty? NO, and the proof is ALSO in Surah Annur - ayah 31 and in many other verses of the Quran and Hadiths of the Prophet (SAW) (e.g. Muslim :: Book 24 :: Hadith 5310 The woman dressed but appears naked who will not enter paradise nor smell its fragrance) Ruling on a woman putting her picture on Facebook islamqa.info/en/165186 _________________________________________ 2. Allah says in Surah Al-Maa-idah Ayah 2: “Help one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa; but do not help one another in sin and transgression.” Abu Said Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said, Whoever amongst you sees an evil, he must change it with his hand; if he is unable to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is unable to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest form of Faith. [Muslim Book 1 Hadith 79] If you dont hate it but instead LIKE it and you tell the Muslimah and the others who see that you LIKE that she posted her picture without Hijab then what does that say about you Eemaan (faith)??? You publicized to EVERYONE that YOU LIKE THAT A MUSLIMAH DOES NOT FOLLOW ALLAHS COMMAND! Astaghfirullah wa naoodhu billahi min dhaalik Imam Ahmad recorded that Anas bin Malik radhiAllahu anhu said that the Messenger of Allah sallAllahu aalyhi wa sallam said, ‘Support your brother whether he was unjust or the victim of injustice.’ He was asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah! We know about helping him when he suffers injustice, so what about helping him when he commits injustice?’’ He said, ‘Prevent and stop him from committing injustice, and this represents giving support to him.’ [Bukhari] Muslim recorded a hadeeth that states, “He who calls to a guidance, will earn a reward similar to the rewards of those who accept his call, until the Day of Resurrection, without decreasing their rewards. Whoever calls to a heresy, will carry a burden similar to the burdens of those who accept his call, until the Day of Resurrection, without decreasing their own burdens.”
