We have a lot of dawah centres and awwqaaf to visit and presentations to give and without a sponsored driver, this will be almost impossible. We have a hardworking team of volunteers who go out of their way to make sure these donations are delivered. We need help to continue in this vein and grow. We require ongoing funding for food, abayas and books, and their delivery. We also need to build them a proper premises for Islamic education and skills development without being rained upon through holes in their dark,windowless, rusty tin shack where they learn in deplorable conditions, without any electricity. Their situation is heartbreaking and I could hardly breath due to the stench of rotting waste and sewage, a far cry from air conditioned classrooms. And spend (in charity) of that with which We have provided you, before death comes to one of you and he says: My Lord! If only You would give me respite for a little while (i.e. return to the worldly life), then I should give Sadaqah (i.e. Zakât) of my wealth, and be among the righteous [i.e. perform Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah)]. Say: Whatever you spend of good must be for parents and kindred and orphans and AlMasâkin (the poor) and the wayfarers, and whatever you do of good deeds, truly, Allâh knows it well.
