Bismillaih Rahman Roheem By the dawn, By the ten night(i.e ten days of Dhul-Hijjah), by the even and by the odd. The above has been proclaimed by Allah. See Surat Fajr. Only Allah is exalted in power. BY THE EVEN: The 10th day of Dhul-Hijja(The day the ram is slaughtered) BY THE ODD: The 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah(The day of Arafah) BY THE EVEN: This has also been interpreted by Islamic Scholars as Allahs creatures i.e male and female. BY THE ODD: Scholars interpret this as ALLAH HIMSELF i.e 99 names of ALLAH BY THE EVEN: Scholars interpret this as the compulsory prayers i.e numbers of rakah in each: SUBH(2), SUHR(4), ASR(4) & ISHAI(4) BY THE ODD: MOGRIB(3), SAFR & WITR(3).
