Bit of a scary day today when I woke up to Scruffy Dog having partial seizures. He has now had a CT scan which we will get results from the radiologist on Mon due to holiday. In the meantime he has anti-inflamms and also another medication to slow his brain a little to hopefully prevent further seizures. The good news is there was no obvious mass (tumour) that the technician saw. I have known for a couple of months there has been something not right with my boy and he has gone to the vet with very minor ailments on & off in these few weeks (for 8 years he has never had a days illness!) Today the neurologist told me that often before brain symptoms appear, the dog gets a headache (which we dont know about) but blood tests etc wont show anything unusual for brain dysfunction - only the secondary issues.......in summary - know your dog peeps: theres more to having a pet than feeding, walking and throwing a ball - know whats normal for your dog both in behaviour and physically. Know your dog & those early warning signs could make all the difference xxx p.s. Nando Brown is the best but hey you guys already know that ;-)
