Bit of a wet day today but we have over forty booked for lunch so will be busy. In fact the hotel is just about full for the rest of the week. Burt Loam, the gardener, managed to get the hanging baskets out yesterday before the rain set in. At least he will not have to do any watering. Yesterday the hob jockeys cleaned the the gas grill now it does not work. Had to replace a toilet seat in one of the bedrooms. It took about an hour to get the old one off. Hanging under a toilet with a tiny spanner as the bolt goes round and round is all part of the glamour of managing Moffats top luxury hotel. Oh! Forgot one of the guests levered themselves into the shower using the thermostatic shower valve as purchase. Sadly Mira the shower valve lost the battle. Many thanks to D&Ms for their prompt service. Mira is safely back on the wall where she belongs. What will today bring!
