Bit of an epic wet day, GMC north shore bunchie, extras kms with John Hunter punctured in Greenhithe, no dramas change tube, spare tube splits at valve, Johnny generously gives me his 2nd tube, pump tyre up...tube pops thru cut in tyre..buggar. I call Pamela McCauley for a lift and Johnny carries on, Its then I realize Im at the end of Karl Postlewaights Street, roll down to Karls, knock on the door and greeted by Jill his wife, Karl is still training (good man) so she gives me Carte Blanche in his garage :) Old training tyre and tube found, changed. Rescue abort call made to Mrs GMC and I get my 5 and a half hours in as planned! All in a days work!
