Bit of an overnight crisis, the back boiler on our log burner sprang a leak in the night. Flooded the stove and then seeped out into the living room. Not good but could have been far worse had the leak been larger. Would have dumped the contents of the rads, header tank and mains. Good friend and plummer John Vail arrived to help not on a white charger but in a green Subaru. No less welcome Thanks John. Now in clean up mode. Major repair or replacement on stove. No doubt weather will be getting colder. Wierdly I thought yesterday that we were about due a problem with the boiler.
