Bitter Truth It is a pity that Isoko people especially the youths lack the will power to effect changes in the present political landscape. The politics they play is what we call money for hand, back for ground politics and that is why the very few elects can afford to stay in office for 12 to 16 years. For example, the likes of Senator James Manager and Rt. Hon, Leo Ogor will be completing 12 years in office by 2015 and up till now, we have not seen any formidable candidates to dare to vie for these positions for reasons best known to them. No doubts, Rt. Hon. Leo Ogor has represented us very well and may have favoured some of his kinsmen and kinswomen and closed associates within and outside Isoko for the past 11years and some months under the platform of PDP. But, I wish to state unequivocally that it will be a cheat and shame to the rest of Isoko constituencies and people for one person to overstay in the parliament. The continue stay of such persons is unfair, unjust, selfish and embrassing to those communities and people that have not benefitted from him. Others need to be empower too, in terms of contracts, scholarship, good roads, school, street lights etc, just as you have done for your kinsmen and women. Youre more honourable if you groom and create room for others to step in, while you dare other higher positions. The idea for one person to stay in an elective post for 16 years is no longer acceptable to the right thinking Isoko people since an elective post is neither a birthright nor a traditional title which you can hold unto for life. It is also wrong to have a position where you will almost think you are forming a political dynasty. Hence, I am compelling Isoko people and youths to shun MONEY FOR HAND, BACK FOR GROUND POLITICS and be resolute to facilitate the emergence of another credible candidate from a different CLAN and BACKGROUND who will represent us adequately in the National Assembly come 2015. Long Live Isoko Nation!
