Bitterly cold air moves is moving into Arkansas right now. Tonight, as temperatures fall, protect pipes that may be prone to freezing in extremely cold weather. Lows will drop to the single digits and teens. Looking for some moderation in temperature this weekend, but precipitation will return starting late Saturday and lasting through Monday. This will be mainly rain, but there is certainly some opportunity, especially at nighttime, for some freezing rain or sleet in the northern half of the state...especially in northern Arkansas. Again, daytime highs should move above freezing. Stay tuned for the latest. In any event, this precipitation does not look heavy.
