Bitterness is a poison wanting to spread from your spirit into your thoughts and bring disease into your body. Bitterness will keep you thinking about all the bad things that happened in the past, it will keep you angry at other and keep you frustrated at every imperfection. It drives you eventually to hate yourself. The good news is, you can be free! When you choose to no longer hold that wrong over another person but to forgive, you become free. You become free to see the good things that happened in the past, free to love without expecting anything in return, free to be hopeful for the future—and free to trust God. God the Father has the power to break bitterness and make you free. Would you open your heart today and begin that process of healing and restoration in your heart?
