Bittersweet moment for me . My Chrissy boy got accepted into a program that will pay for a day rehab center. I took him to look at one and he got really excited about it because of all the activities they offer. To see him excited seemed to overwhelm me and thoughts of his safety came to mind but at the same time I felt excited that he would be able to practice his social skills,as well as meet new people . As a mother its always hard to let our babies move on to another Chapter in there lives ; however is harder when your child has been placed with so many barriers by societys ignorance , that it makes it harder for me to accept that my babys time has arrived for him to move on to his next stepping stone in his life ( time to cut the cord as some of you would say). Hence , with fear in my heart and tears in my eyes , I am ready to let my child take his next step closer to independence . So wish my baby boy luck . But maybe just maybe I will go with him and look through the window to make sure he will be safe?
