Bizarre story of the day....! So, I am walking into town from Newmachar yesterday to pick up a car as my taxi driver has buggered off to Spain and I get a shock when a big bird of prey (buzzard, eagle, no idea really) swoops down and just misses my head somewhere around the station at Dyce (I was on the old railway line). Never thought too much of it - had a bit of a laugh with Mabelle via text etc. Anyway, today I walk into my mums house along the same path and I suddenly get hit on the back the head really hard at exactly the same place on the path. I thought I was getting mugged by a chav with a stick or something! I put my hand to the back of my head and it comes off with blood on it! While I am contemplating this, I look up and this f**ing great big bird is flying straight at me... I throw this really ridiculous punch at it (how on earth do you punch a bird?) which misses and it kind of pulls up and flies away again. I watch it for a little while and realize that it is circling to come back at me :). At this point I am thinking that it might be better not to hang around - so I start running and the thing proceeds to attack me about 6 or 7 more times. I must have run half a km before it decided it was no longer pissed off with me and went back to its tree. All this time I am flapping my arms and clapping and shouting at the bird - I am so thankful that there was nobody around with an iPhone or I would have been in the middle of global ridicule on Youtube by now :) If you happen to be walking along that path, either wear a suit of armour or bring a shotgun - that is one super aggressive bird (and I dont mean the drunken type you meet on a Saturday night in Woodmill Brae)
