Black Friday - more like Red Friday for putting yourself in debt - there is a difference between taking advantage of an offer on something you actually need (which is fine) versus spending for the sake of it and greed. That goes against the whole spiritual ethos of all being equal, a fairer world and needing less not more... Now dont get me wrong I like to shop but I also like to think I know when to stop! 18,000 cars heading to my local shopping mall today for Black Friday deals - I can think of nothing worse, fights breaking out in supermarkets over plasma screen TVs makes me ashamed to be part of this species. Balance in all things including how we spend and receive money - as well as what we spend money on should be what we value - just makes me sad so many value materialism over other ways to feed your soul. A friend of mine is giving spiritual readings today here in Bournemouth for half price - that is his Black Friday deal and to me that sets a shining example of what Black Friday could be ....imagine if they discounted food or services that actually serve us for one day - now that would be a wonderful Friday and lead the way to a more enlightened age in my book.... Happy Friday everyone just dont spend it all day at the shops...!
