You need to open it to the correct angle to get the right lighting, but that is easy enough. The tweezers were really bad so I replaced them with the favorite tweezers which came from my last mirror from this company. The tweezers look the same, I think the second pair was just somehow molded incorrectly. Otherwise I would give this 5 stars.The size & magnification of the mirror are fine, but the light sits within the base of the case (see the little half circle nearest the mirror) and it points STRAIGHT UP! What is it supposed to be illuminating? The ceiling??? Certainly not the face or the mirror. Ridiculous design. PLUS, when I returned this product, they only refunded $15.95. I paid return shipping myself but was charged $8.95? Dont even THINK about buying this one! I dont know who is writing the positive reviews -- friends of the owner?
