Black Friday is a week away, but that hasnt stopped bargain - TopicsExpress

Black Friday is a week away, but that hasnt stopped bargain shoppers in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, who have been camping outside the local Best Buy since Monday in the hopes of securing the coveted doorbuster pricing on electronics. Jonas Allooh was the first to pitch his tent, setting up shop at 5 p.m. on Monday, and Tony Avitar, another seasoned veteran of the Black Friday line, wasnt far behind. Both men are prepared for almost anything, bringing microwaves, heaters and televisions for their 10-day campout. Their friends and family come out to help as well – taking shifts in line while the dedicated shoppers take bathroom and food breaks. Avitars mom is even cooking a full Thanksgiving feast for her son, and the family plans to eat in the tent. The holiday shopping frenzy of Black Friday may not be all its cracked up to be, however. Consumer research groups caution shoppers to be savvy about how they shop. Just because a retailer claims it has discounted an item, doesnt mean customers are actually getting the bargain they think they are. Misleading original prices and similarly advertised products with cheaper parts and fewer features are just some of the tricks retailers use to make shoppers believe they are getting a once-in-a-lifetime deal. Ok- Honestly, Who agrees with me that these people need to get a life! lol... Am I being too mean? Crazy! lol Michael J
