Black Gold & Texas Tea Weekly Review Well the Sun did Shine and the Temperature was working its way to being one of those Dog Days of Summer of course the roof was open and there is nothing like listening to Jackson Browne and Doctor my Eyes. Well it was around 10:30ish and the tables were adorned with platters full of sandwiches then Chocolate chip cookies from John Burn and Brownies and thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary for thinking of us with all of the left overs from the day before. We ended up some where around 53 but dam what a noisy bunch just multiple conversations going on mixed with laughter and washed down by gallons of coffee. Well we had three drawings and the first one was a box with someKitchen Knives then from Irita Vanaga the owner of Piazza Pazza donated a $25.00 Gift certificate to their restaurant and a half / half and the winner took home around $ 57.00 So all in all every one was well well fed and the next thing you know and it was 2:30pm in the Afternoon so over across the fresh paved Churchill Blvd and it wasnt long untill I was in Siseta mode. Any ways it was back to the Legion for supper and Naomi You were right the Hamburger Steak with all the trimmings was delicious. So I would be amiss if I didnt mention that this coming Friday will be the Last of the Summer feasts on Fridays and we will be switching to a Winter mode for Sundays. Now this Friday it will be Chicken Parmesan with all trimmings so get your tickets early as las week on Friday morning they had only 2 tickets left. Ok Pasta Tuesday is coming up on the 2nd of September ( I know what happened to summer) So We will be at Piazza Pazza at 6PM for some of Iritas fine cuisine and the charm of her warm smile. So Champlain Mall Entrance off of Victoria/Lapiniere 6PM 2 September. Hope you will be joining us. Ok all you guys out there who have been building this and that over the summer it is now time to cut us up some kindling wood for the Fire place.
