Black History and Presidential History Contest This year the Social Studies department coordinated our first annual Black History and Presidential History Contest during February. Each school day two questions dealing with outstanding African-Americans and interesting facts about our Presidents were announced on the PA system. Students would go home to do research on their Chromebooks to find the answers. Their answers were recorded on an Excel spreadsheet. Students with the most correct answers would win either first, second, or third place prizes. All six winners received Certificates of Excellence; free breakfast and lunch from Chick-fil-A Restaurant; first place winners, a free dinner from Olive Garden; second place winners, a giant 4D puzzle from Fry’s Electronics; third place winners, a free dinner from Gringo’s Restaurant; and Pronto Pizza contributed two delicious, free pizzas.
