Black Stars coach Konadu calls up 23 players for Guinea double Thursday 2nd October , 2014 10:07 am Maxwell Konadu, the care-taker manager of the men’s senior national football team, has released a 23-man squad for the 2015 Africa Cup Nations qualifiers double header against Guinea on October 11 in Morocco and October 15 in Tamale. Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender, Kwabena Edusei earns his first senior call-up on the back of joining South Africa top flight side, Mpumalanga Black Aces following a player of the season cameo for Kotoko who won completed the league and cup double for the first time. Norway based goalie, Adam Larsen Kwarasey has still not been recalled as the clubless Fatau Dauda, Stephen Adams and Spain based, Razak Brimah retain their places. The Black Stars remain second in the Morocco 2015 qualifying group on inferior goals to Uganda with four points each after two games. The Ugandans will also face Sheyi Adebayor’s Togo in their own double header as the race to Africa’s biggest tournament hots up across the continent. Togo are rooted to the bottom of the group on zero points after their two defeats to Guinea and Ghana of course.
