Black consciousness organizations seem to be male dominated, and it appears that the women were recruited by their partners. The doctrines taught appear to stroke the males ego, in some cases women are even placed beneath the males. I can see that many of these doctrines are based on patriarchal religious views. The focus is on accumulating knowledge and not spiritual cultivation. Some appear to branch out to spiritual cultivation. However, it appears women who are on their own paths and not following their partners are more drawn to spiritual cultivation. She tends to attract males who are already spiritually cultivated or is with a man who is not. If this is the case, rarely does the man follow his partner on a path of higher consciousness. Just an observation from my perspective.
