Blairsvillains and Blairsheroes! The game is afoot! We go out of our way to help everyone make the right craft beer selections before leaving our store. We feel like we missed that opportunity with the person who chucked a brick through our window last night. We think they made some mistakes, and we want to make sure it never happens again. Heres what they took... Lindemanns Framboise Lambic Lindemanns Gueuze Cuvée René Lindemanns Peche Lambic Heavy Seas Red Sky At Night Horny Goat Saison Song Strawberry Saison Samuel Smith Organic Chocolate Stout Samuel Smith India Ale These are all fantastic choices. But, given that our burglar took ALL the shelved Cuvée René, and given that we know to whom we have sold that beer (ourselves, almost exclusively), we have to assume that we were robbed by a Framboise drinker who made the mistake of grabbing the fancy bottle next to it. Big mistake. The Lindemanns fruit lambics are exceptionally sweet, with an easy tartness that often appeals to wine drinkers. The Cuvée René is a funky beverage with cidery and musty notes... weve heard it described by people who like it (us again) as tasting like a mouthful of fresh asphalt and farts. Thats probably not the flavor profile our fruit beer lover was looking for when they cleaned the shelf off. And for that, we apologize. If we had been here when we were being robbed we would have called our burglars attention to the two cases of Orpheus Brewing saisons sitting on the counter by the door. The Lyric Saison and the Atalanta Tart Plum Saison would have been the perfect score. Then, maybe, the Cuvée René wouldnt have made the inside of their mouth taste like they were being dutch-ovened by Optimus Prime. We are open for business as usual today. We encourage you to come in, were going to be offering a special Five Finger Discount on all the beers stolen today... obviously, the burglar is getting a 100% discount, but everyone else can enjoy 10% off. Were also offering 10% off of the Orpheus beers we think should have been stolen. So if youre looking to bolster your streetwise, edgy, bad-boy persona, come in and scoop up a bottle of Lindemanns Framboise, then go back to your biker gang, or your underground cockfighting ring, or your Yakuza crime family and impress them with the sweet, sweet, blood red raspberry taste of danger.
