Blame game is pointless and not the answer. What need to be done is concrete plan to monitor and regulate irresponsible haze done by farmers and corporate. This is the core issue. Farmers and estates uses burning of trees as the quickie and cheaper way to clear plots and forests for (re)planting, gardening or farming. Natural burning does occur in forest system and does contribute significantly in fertilizing soil periodically and thus improve agricultural and land productivity regularly. Artificial burning has nothing to do with agricultural sustainability nor soil fertility management. The most important step seriously to be contemplated over is responsible and efficient Land Cover and Land Use by the general populace. Efficient LCLU is critical in the overall scheming for land sustainability and maintaining sustainable agriculture. Btw, what is the ratio of lands being burn down by farmers and medium or large agri-businesses? This data is not that difficult to access. Satellite imaging can be used to settle the number.
