I believe a resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict can best be achieved by their each entering into a relationship with the United States similar to what we currently have with Puerto Rico and to what I have suggested between the United States and Mexico. This would end their ability to threaten each other and and allow them to coexist as secure and equal partners. I do not believe peace can be achieved absent such equality and security. I believe this is the only way security and equality can be achieved, and I favor our offering them such a relationship.The arrangement could be for a minimum period of twenty years - - after which each would have the option of continuing the same said relationship, becoming independent, or becoming a State of the United States.
