Blanket forts, playing with the dogs, riding horses, playing - TopicsExpress

Blanket forts, playing with the dogs, riding horses, playing little people with my brother, watching cartoons, playing on the swing set, swimming until we were prunes, playing Veterinarian with my stuffed animals - giving them monthly checkups (and keeping very good records of all recorded injuries), creating magical worlds with my stuffed animals, cool rocks I found...wherever, a pine cone, and old sheets.... No parental involvement = some of my favorite moments of my childhood. Yes, I loved our family trips and Disneyland, but I LOVED all of the time I spent creating - either alone or with my brother &/or friends - and cant imagine having a full schedule as a child that involved structured events with strangers or my parents every waking moment that I wasnt in school. Blah. I love this article. Thanks for posting Carrie-Lee. I had forgotten how much I loved the freedom I had in my childhood to create, on my terms, out of nothing, and for nothing, until I read this article. ❤️
