Blast From The Past..... 1985....The best and worst of Lake George in the Adirondacks. Myself and other members of The Partisans would spend 8 days canoeing on Lake George after Columbus Day after all the tourists left. We camped with equipment appropriate for the French & Indian War era circa 1750s. Lake George might be my favorite place, at least the memories are. It could be the prettiest place in the world with a waters of glass and leaves at their blazing peak.
