Blech. Lol. My fave place ? Tides Point. Close by and a close second? Tides Cove... First time I (that i remember) went there my dad was insistent I HAD to see the capelin rollin, which I guess only happens at certain times of the season? Anyhow. Off we trundle at an ungodly early hour for me to witness this magificent site... Apparently? The whales are closest to tides cove at said specific parts of the season... which causes mass panic amongst the poor tiny defenseless capelin as they rush to avoid the fate of their cove- mates and be eaten by WHALES! SOOOO they roll up into the cove... where they kinda get stuck on the beach. But no worries! Ppl know this- so they come to rescue the lil floppers floppin on the shoreline..... TO TAKE THEM HOME, by the bucket load and LOPE OFF THEIR HEADS AND FRY THEM FOR BREAKFAST! now... i am a trappers daughter by birthright and by my early years... but the idea of these tiny fishies rushing frantically from imminent death by whale- only to end up in a frying pan?!?! oh geeze.
