Blessed! Let the Gospel roll Isaiah 60:1 to 3 - Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. I am sure that you have had times in your life where everything seemed so very bleak. In fact you may be in a situation like that right now. Where it would take a miracle for the Lord to do something. Your faith just cant seem to see very far into the future and no matter how hard you try, you just cant see things coming right. Everywhere you look things are just hopeless. What you are doing is trying to look through a very dark blanket that seems to be heavily rested on you. You cant see through it and you certainly cant lift it! What to do? Have a good look at todays passage. For behold a darkness will cover the earth, but the Glory of the Lord will shine upon you. What you should be praying for right now is Gods awesome Glory and power and grace. You are looking in the wrong direction altogether if you have been seeking your answer from around you - from where you can see it. You need to be looking up and over this blanket that is over you. Not through it. Look above it and see the Glory of God that is available to you. The power that is there ready to set you free. Stop trying to do it in your own flesh, stop trying to figure it all out and run for the light! You know there is an incredible quality about light - it dispels all the darkness. You start bathing in that light a bit and the next thing you know His glory would have risen on you. Instead of walking around in despair, you will be a living example to those around you of the blessing of God. They will look on your face and see the brightness of your rising! They will look upon you and say I cant understand what he is looking so blessed for, when all around him everything seems to be going wrong! You could be using the difficult situation you are in right now to be an outstanding example of the love and power of Jesus! So, I challenge you right now. Instead of letting all this weight get you down, rise up to the light, rise in the glory of the Lord. Bathe in His presence and use this time to be a witness and an example of how to be delivered from a possible situation. Turn this big rock in your path into a stepping stone, and rise into the Glory and power the Lord has waiting for you! Bless you! I just know you are going to come through this victoriously!
