Blessed Monday , March 31, 2014, from St. Thomas, V. I. TODAYS MEDITATION FROM ISAIAH 53:6: In the U.S. Virgin Islands, today is a holiday which is called Transfer Day, which commemorates the purchase of the Virgin Islands by the United States from Denmark. Transfer Day was the day that the rule of Denmark ended and the United States officially took possession of the Islands. I would like to use this to commemorate another Transfer which took place over 2,000 years ago. A Transfer that is available to whosever wills and it is free and places that person under the Imperial Rule of the Kingdom of God. When someone comes to Christ, a transaction takes place that ONLY GOD can do and it is irreversible because it has the Seal of God. Lets look at that transaction prophesied by the prophet Isaiah and fulfilled in Jesus Christ, the ONLY begotten Son of God. Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and (but) the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. All of us have gone astray; there is none righteous, no not one. All of us deserved death on the Cross, but Jesus, taking our place, took on the penalty for sin and the righteous demands of a Holy God. There is absolutely nothing we can do to justify God for sins committed. God requires us to confess to Him and to repent. WHAT A TRANSFER, I A SINNER AM FREE FROM SIN AND A SINLESS JESUS TOOK ON HIS BODY THE INIQUITY OF US ALL. But it is not automatic! That transfer takes place when we come, without excuse to God and confess our sinfulness and ask for pardon. God knows our hearts and He follows through on the transfer. PRAYER: Father, thank You for sending Jesus Christ to take my place on the Cross. Thank you Jesus, for paying the price I deserved. Thank You that by Your Stripes I am healed and have past from death onto life. Amen!
