Blessed and thankful are the only two words I can use to describe todays Make Your Mark meeting. Today Shawn Nelson, Kelvin Wymbs, Precious Caldwell, Eric Greenwood, Anna from White Knoll High School, and Timmy from Carolina Spring Middle School all showed up to volunteer. Shawn, Kelvin, and Precious all spoke to the kids about how they have become successful in life and ways that Coach Gerald influenced that success! The kids were blown away! In addition to these folks sharing, the kids took time to share back by standing up and giving examples of what theyve learned so far being a part of the program. Thats where the words blessed and thankful really resounded... I might add one more word, inspirational! Everyone I mentioned hung around to read with the kids and help them with homework, as well as, work out with us during our basketball time. Check out the pictures!
